That plan is supported by an aviation strategy that includes US$100 billion in investment from the government and private sector, as well as an enormous amount being pumped into new destinations, resorts and other developments.
Whilst a lot of those plans are extremely futuristic in design, one company continues its work to promote more traditional experiences such as bespoke camping trips into the desert.
Arabian Camp, founded by Khalid Khafagy in 1997, offers luxurious, customised tours of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Whether it be for a few nights in luxurious tents away from the noise and light pollution so many of us are sadly accustomed to, or with the help of helicopters to experience the beauty of Saudi Arabia’s many different natural wonders from a different angle, Arabian Camp believes it is the right company to make your dreams come true.
To learn more about the company, Steven Howard of Travel News Asia sat down with Khalid Khafagy during the World Travel Market in London on 6 November.
In this interview, available in HD video and podcast formats, Khalid tells us more about Arabian Camp, post-Covid recovery and targets for 2024, plans for the future, and much, much more.
